The short version

1. Who we are

AtlasVoice is made by Atlas AiDev, Dhaka 1207, Bangladesh (“we” or “us”). We are responsible for the personal data described here.

This policy covers the AtlasVoice website (atlasvoice.cloud), the AtlasVoice API, the dashboard at app.atlasvoice.cloud, the AtlasVoice voice service, and the AtlasVoice WordPress plugins when they connect to these services. The separate website atlasaidev.com has its own privacy policy (opens in a new tab).

2. What we collect

When you create an account or connect a site

When you use the service

When you download a beta

We count each beta download without storing your IP address. Instead we keep a one-way code made from your address, browser and the date. It counts unique downloads for one day and can’t be used to follow you from one day to the next. We also keep the version, where you came from and your country (as reported by our network provider). If you unlock the Pro beta, we check your licence key with Freemius and keep only the licence’s ID.

When you visit this website

We count page views with our own small script, without cookies and without storing anything on your device. For each page view we use the page address, the site that sent you (or the utm_source in the link), your browser type (to tell phones from computers) and your country (as reported by our network provider). We also count a few actions: clicks to our WordPress.org plugin page or the dashboard, playing an article’s audio, and reading most of a blog post. To count each visitor once per page per day, we use a one-way code made from your address, browser and the date. It is kept only for that day, in memory, and never written to our database, so it can’t be used to follow you from one day to the next. Only daily totals per page are stored. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, you are not counted at all.

When you use the search on this website, the search runs in your browser and what you type is not sent to us letter by letter. Once a search is finished, we count its words, whether it found anything and whether you opened a result, as daily totals. We never record who searched, and searches that look like an email address, a phone number or a key or password are never stored. We keep these totals to learn what people look for and which articles to write.

When you ask for an account on the AtlasVoice demo

If you leave your email on the demo at atlasaidev.com, we send you a link to activate a free account. We keep the email, whether you ticked the box for tips and offers, and the demo page you came from, until the link is used or expires. No account is created unless you open the link. If you ticked the box and confirm the link, we add you to our email list, and you can unsubscribe from any email.

From the WordPress plugins

When you connect a WordPress site to AtlasVoice, the plugin sends your site address and the email you enter. It sends nothing before you agree in the plugin. Sharing diagnostic data about your site is a separate, optional choice, and it is off by default.

3. What we don’t do

4. Why we use your data

5. Who helps us run the service

We use a small number of trusted providers, only for the purposes below:

ProviderWhat they do
HostingerHosts our servers (United States).
CloudflareDelivers and protects our websites and API, stores our off-site backups, and counts website visits without cookies (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
GoogleGenerates speech for the free AtlasVoice TTS voice. Your text passes through Google’s speech engine to be read aloud; we don’t send your account details. If you accept analytics cookies on this website, Google Analytics also measures how the website is used.
FreemiusSells AtlasVoice Pro licences and handles payments, and confirms whether a licence is valid.
Namecheap (Private Email)Sends our account emails.

The AtlasVoice Cloud voices run on our own servers, so text for those voices isn’t shared with any other company.

6. International transfers

Our servers are in the United States, so your data may be processed outside your country. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses our providers offer.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. You can:

9. Cookies

The dashboard uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in. It is secure, can’t be read by scripts, and ends when you sign out or the session expires.

On this website, Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_…, kept for up to 2 years) are set only if you click Accept on the cookie bar. Until then, and if you click Reject, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode that stores nothing on your device. We never allow advertising cookies. Your choice is remembered in your browser, and you can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Cloudflare Web Analytics and our own statistics count visits without any cookies. Only for our own staff: signing in to the AtlasVoice dashboard as staff sets a cookie (av_staff, kept up to 1 year) so that our own visits are left out of the statistics.

Some links take you to atlasaidev.com, which has its own cookie settings.

10. Security

Passwords, API keys and session tokens are stored only as secure hashes. All traffic is encrypted, sign-in codes expire quickly, admin sessions end after short idle times, and our backups are kept off-site with restricted access. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you promptly.

11. Children

AtlasVoice is for businesses and adults. It isn’t intended for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

12. Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when our practices change, and change the date at the top. For important changes, we’ll let account holders know by email first.

13. Contact
